Hello, My Name Is Courtenay
Helping you take control of your ADHD so it stops controlling you.
I didn’t know I had ADHD until one day after school my teenage son came home and said he thought he might have it. We did some research and both resonated with many of the symptoms, which led to a doctor’s visit and eventually two ADHD diagnoses.
When I finally made the connection between my personal challenges and ADHD in my mid 40’s, the discovery was profound and transformative in many ways:
Understanding how my brain functioned differently with ADHD helped reduce my constant negative self-talk and self-criticism. Exploring my ADHD challenges also gave me a starting point to discover new skills, tools, strategies, and support to help ease the stress and anxiety in my daily life.
As I move through my life addressing my struggles with kindness and compassion, I’m also exploring my strengths, interests and desires to balance my life with things that I find fun, creative and inspiring. I hope to help other’s do the same so they can live the wonderful, productive and abundant life they envision!
My Why
Outside of work, you can find me doing things that someone 40 years older than me might be doing…9pm bedtimes and all!
I’m a bit of an introverted homebody but you would likely guess otherwise after meeting me. I get inspired and uplifted around other people, and enjoy my downtime to recharge while making jewelry, watching a movie or relaxing around the home.
I enjoy walks with my GIANT and not so giant dogs, hanging out at home with my family, being a mom, finding humour in situations, spending time with close friends, dining out, and exploring new places. I also love nature and being surrounded by the stillness of trees and the calmness of water which I’m lucky to be in everyday.
